Who is Ffraed?

Ffraed is the Cymric (Welsh) name for the Great Goddess, (and later Saints) Brigit, Brighid, Brig, and Bride. Even in Cymru her name’s spelling differs. Fread, Ffraid, Ffrêd, and Ffride, are some variations.

THANK YOU

To Nature.

To those who have gone before: the builders of markers and other way-signs, the sympathetic landscapers, farmers, astronomers, cartographers, recorders, historians, archivists, writers, artists, poets, story-tellers, singers and musicians, dancers, teachers, holy women and men, dreamers, explorers, and philanthropists.

To all the farmers and other land holders who have granted me access.

To all of the people who have shared folklore and knowledge on the areas that I visit.

To everyone who has subscribed to this blog.

To those who leave comments and likes, or send me emails regarding this project.

To everybody who has helped to fund and equip this survey.

To anyone who helps in every other way.

Your encouragement is inspiring, your help is invaluable. Thank you

Public

A Great Dragon’s vital presence weaves through 3 counties in the southwest of Cymru (Wales). She is a companion for humanity to help it to fulfil its divine assignment: to care for this earth, her other support systems and everything that depends upon her.

Dedicated to the great goddess and saint of the Isles, Ffraed. I know Her as Y Ddraig Ffraed. Y Ddraig is Cymric for ‘The Dragon’.

These are public pages of my private blog, ‘the Song of Ffraed’.

The Song of Ffraed records some of the discoveries I have made, and the experiences I’ve had, while divining Y Ddraig Ffraed.
