A short clip from a talk Ellis gave to the audience of the Ammach conference in the spring of 2013. In 1997, Ellis visited the famous megalithic site, for the first time in 40 years. He wanted to see how the site had changed. He remembers visiting Stonehenge at about the age of 5, when it was in an open field.
‘My Dad just drove up to them. There were another one or two cars by the stones too.’ He remembers climbing up and sitting with his sister on a very large prostrate stone. Some of the megaliths had graffiti on them, “Fred loves Joan” sort of thing. Another strong reason for him to go was to see the field where a famous crop circle came down the year before. He discovered a crop circle himself on that same trip to the U.K.
